A few months ago, I was curious about whether or not to spend more on insurance for my iPhone XS Max. I noticed that there was a lot of information out there and that most of it was contradictory in some way, so I decided to read through all the different pieces of information and see what people were saying.
Does Verizon Insurance Cover Cracked Screens In 2022?
You can get an unlimited cracked screen repair from Verizon, and it will be free if you have a trade-in for a newer smartphone. The newer Verizon phones have this covered already, but if you have an older model you’ll have to pay out of pocket.

What Does Verizon Screen Replacement Cost With Insurance?
You can only get the screen replacement if you have an eligible device and your device is under contract with either Verizon or T-Mobile.
You should take a broken and cracked phone to an authorized warranty center and not the service center.
In the unlikely but still possible event that the screen gets cracked or shattered from a fall, you’re not eligible for a replacement. This is really only of concern if your phone is a smartphone. Most smartphones are too fragile of a device to withstand a fall.
How Many Cracked Screen Repairs Does Verizon Insurance Cover?
Verizon’s insurance covers screen repairs, but you’ll have to pay $29 to get a new one every time.

Verizon Protect is a product that is used to provide protection and is a comprehensive coverage that provides technical support to the phone itself and the device protection.

Other companies offer different insurance plans that cover a variety of things but usually phone.
For example, the lowest-cost plan may include basic coverage and a few emergency services. The most expensive plan may include extra coverage options like in-home help or 24-hour emergency care. But most health insurance plans offer the same essential services and coverages. So you’ll find similar plans for about the same price.
As for price, Verizon insurance plans can be anywhere from $0 a month to upwards of $100 a month. For the more expensive plans, you will get more coverage. For the less expensive plans, you won’t get as much coverage and you’ll have to pay more for it.
How Much Is The Verizon Insurance Deductible?
The Verizon insurance deductible can go from $9 to $29 depending on the kind of insurance you have and your claim.
Does Verizon Fix Phone Screens Without Insurance?
Yes, Verizon will charge you a hefty fee if you need to replace your phone screen. These will only be resolved if you get the screen replaced under an extended warranty plan.
If for some reason you don’t have insurance or you don’t want to use it, you should take your phone into a Verizon store where they can fix a broken screen without charging you.
Another way to get the screen replaced is to take it to a repair shop. Although this voids any warranty coverage you have with Verizon, it’ll be cheaper!
Who Is Eligible For Verizon Wireless Phone Protection Insurance?
If you enroll within 30 days of purchase, your Verizon plan is called the Smart Protector Plan. It’s a smart plan that adds some protection (including a screen protector), but you don’t get any additional coverage from the manufacturer. What this means is that if the item breaks or gets damaged, you might not have manufacturer’s coverage.

you have selected the protection plan for your phone
you haven’t transferred your phone or changed the phone number, or changed the device’s SIM card
There are no monthly fees or upfront costs for this plan. If your phone is lost or stolen, you’ll receive up to $200 in credits, which you can use to replace the phone or purchase new services.
You won’t be able to use your SIM card with Verizon Wireless once you get your replacement phone.
And as for the Verizon unlimited data plans, they’re only available if you buy a phone on contract. The plans are only available on the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10E.
It depends on whether you have an unlimited data plan. If you are looking for a way to get it, I recommend contacting the Verizon Wireless customer care.

I did it for a few free samples of different insurance plans, so I could get an idea of what they all look like.
