The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is part of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and its job is to prevent crimes and to protect the U.S. Postal Service and the American public.

Postal Inspectors are sworn Federal law enforcement officers who carry firearms, make arrests, search and seize (seized) evidence, carry out federal search warrants, process evidence seized from searches, arrest suspects, and take other special actions.

If you believe the mail is being used against postal laws or regulations, you can file a report to get the mail back.
