If you are returning items from a Target RedCard, you can return makeup to Target for a refund or exchange within 90 days. However, you can return makeup to Target even if you don’t have a Target RedCard. The makeup must be in its original package and new. Returned items must be unopened and in the same condition they were in when you purchased them.

In the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, return the product to the original site of purchase or Target.com within 180 days of purchase.

Can You Return Makeup To Target Without A Receipt?

When you return a product to Target without a receipt and if you can provide alternative proof of purchase, you can receive a store credit.

Target can track your online purchase if you made it via Target REDcard, Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover, personal check or Target gift card (which you must have retained). Unfortunately, cash purchases cannot be tracked this way.

You will either be able to find your receipt through your Target.com account or you can find a digital barcode on the receipt itself to prove your purchase.

The merchandise return card is only valid in-store at Target. You need to print it from your Target online shopping receipt, and have it ready to show your cashier if asked. This can’t be done online at Target.com.

Return the empty packaging to Target to ensure proper credit. Target will not accept returns or exchanges on empty or fully-used makeup products. If you’re not 100 percent sure the product is empty, please place some of your favorite product on your fingers and see if it holds any mascara.

If you are not happy with the product, you have a return period of 30 days from the date that you receive the product and you will need to include the original receipt with the product.

Makeup products that are open, damaged or without a receipt may have a store manager determine if the product may be refunded or exchanged.

How Can You Return Makeup Purchased On Target.com?

Makeup purchased on Target.com can be returned to any store using any of the following as proof of purchase: a receipt, a barcode from the Target App, Target’s delivery or shipping confirmation email, or the original form of payment. If you don’t have a receipt, Target will issue a gift card of approximately the same value.

You will have to pay for the shipping fee for returns through the Target website. If the return shipping is not the problem, they could be having issues with your shipping information.
