The extra revenue for stamps isn’t just helping charities. The extra money helps promote the art of stamp collecting. This is because collecting stamps is a hobby known to be enjoyed by millions of American families. There are many different types of stamps, and people like to collect them.
What Are Semipostal Stamps?
Charity stamps are a group of stamps that have a charitable organization that is being supported. The term comes from the fact that the stamps have a higher-than-normal postage rate. In some instances, stamp sellers will refer to the higher-than-normal postage rate as the ‘Charity Rate’.

Some people believe that they get more satisfaction when they receive something that isn’t sold in stores, like a handmade card.

Which Semipostal Stamps Does USPS Offer?

How Much Do Semipostal Stamps Cost?
If you buy 2 sheets of 20 stamps, for a total of 40 stamps, the cost will be $3.00 per stamp.
Currently, the price of retail postage stamps is 58 cents, making Semipostal stamps 20 cents more expensive than other stamps, and, by way of comparison, one postcard is currently priced at 12 cents making them 23 cents more expensive than other stamps. While it is true that a higher cost of mailing is reflected in the price of postage, this is not the sole determinant of such price.
By law, the revenues from stamp sales (minus the postage and the reimbursement of costs to the Postal Service) are transferred to the selected agency or charity.
Where Does The Money From Semipostal Stamps Go?
Semipostal stamps give monetary support to various charitable and social organizations.

Breast Cancer Research Project is under way for the year 2019-2020. I am really thrilled to be one of the team members of this project.

Can I Submit A Proposal For A Semipostal Stamp?
A private citizen may only submit designs for postage stamps that have already been approved for their country. Also, a citizen may not submit an idea for a new stamp design for a country that is currently being printed.
An official letter must be submitted by one of the three government agencies, and it must confirm that the organization (or the individual submitting the letter) is willing and able to implement the proposal and comply with the conditions set out by the Act.
