It sounds like this. If you use a credit card at Costco gas, you need to have a Visa credit card or the Costco Anywhere Visa credit card. But they don’t want you to do that. So they are trying to make sure that everybody knows that they don’t want a credit card.
Do I Need A Membership To Get Gas At Costco With A Credit Card?
You have to have a Costco membership to get gas there using a credit card.
That’s why you need to be a member of NWA before you can get gas. Because you’re asked to swipe your membership card before you can enter your payment method.
But if you have a Costco shop card, you don’t need a membership card to get gas. It’s like free gas.
Does Costco Gas Accept Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay?
Costco has enabled near-field communication on its pumps when they have bought gas.
This enables customers to pay with a variety of payment methods like contactless payment, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay (as long as it is a Visa card).
To use the pump with other payment options, you can tap your card using the little plastic card readers on the pumps when you have cash or check funds in your account. For credit and debit cards, you can use the feature on the pump without having to put cash in the machine.
If you decide to pay with Apple Pay, or something similar, you have to remember that Costco only accepts Visa.
I don’t know how to say this in English, but I’m not allowed to use your wallet for that.
If you’ve been paying attention, you’d know that they were only charging $1.00, so if you’re looking to save, go straight to the pump and fill up. They also did take out the gas stations in Canada, so that’s another reason why it’s good to go.
Also, if you have a Costco membership, you can also use it to purchase up to $2000 in gasoline.
Conclusion: Does Costco Take Credit Cards?
Visa debit cards can be used at Costco gas. However, you may not be able to use your Visa credit card at Costco gas because Costco gas is not a Visa card-issuing bank.
