Dec 6, 2021 * 1 Comment

Oreos have a wide range of delicious and sometimes strange flavors. Red Velvet Oreos and Carrot Cake Oreos from Oreo can be a divide between lovers and hate.

Their Pistachio Oreo Thins were one of my favorite flavors. But I haven’t seen them on shelves for months. I was curious if they had been discontinued.

Are Pistachio Oreos Discontinued?

Oreo has not announced plans or made any announcements regarding the reintroduction of this delicious treat. Oreo is currently testing a range of flavors, including the Lemon Meringue Oreo. However, many flavors are limited editions or are discontinued if they don’t meet sales expectations.

Is there a Pistachio Oreo?

Before it was discontinued, there was a Pistachio Oreo Thin. It was made with Oreos sandwich cookie and thin pistachio cream inside.

The Oreo Thins was a thinner version of the vanilla creme, and it didn’t contain the original vanilla cream. They look very similar to Mint Oreo Thins which are still available. However, they taste completely different.

What Oreo Flavors Are Now Extinct?

Oreos are a classic snack that has been around since 1912. There are many flavors to choose from! But not all flavors have been successful and remain on the shelves for long.

These Oreo flavors, some of which are well-known and others we have never heard about, were discounted:

  • Double Delight Oreo
  • Lemon Merengue Oreo
  • Magic dunkers
  • Apple Pie Oreo
  • Oreo Big Stuf
  • Oreo DQ Blizzard Cream
  • Oreo Doughnuts
  • Uh-Oh Oreo
  • Dulce De Leche Caramel Cream Oreo
  • Cinnamon Bun Oreo

What is the Average Oreos Per Pack?

Standard Oreo packages contain 15 cookies per row, and three rows totaling 45 cookies.

Oreo Thins contain 40 Oreos. You can also buy the boxed version, which contains 4 packs of 35 Oreos. This gives you 140 cookies.

What is The Rarest Oreo?

Oreo sells Limited Edition Pokemon Oreos. Inside it, the Mew Oreo (the rarest Oreo) is available. Each Oreo comes with a variety different Pokemon design on it, in addition to the limited edition Oreo packages.

There are some favorite Oreos like Charmander, Pikachu and Squirtle. You may be lucky to find a Mew Oreo. They are rare Oreos and are not always available in every package.

This cookie is so rare that NPR claims it was sold on an internet auction for $15,000! This is the one cookie you won’t want to eat.

Conclusion

Oreo has not announced a return of Pistachio Oreos.

Oreo occasionally reintroduces discontinued products to market. You may see them on shelves in the future, but there are no guarantees. They may disappear forever, just like the Lemon Merengue Oreos.
