Most people don’t really know what to do if their Verizon phone call is not getting through. In order to get help, you need to make two calls back to Verizon.

Why Is My Verizon Phone Not Receiving Calls In 2022?

If you’re having trouble receiving calls on your Verizon device, you can try the following:
-Restart your phone
-Reset your network settings
-Set your phone to Airplane mode
-Call Verizon and report the issue
Note: If none of these work, you may have to replace your device.

If you want to know how to fix the problem of Verizon phones not receiving calls, read this article. It tells you about even more problems that can be solved if all of these are fixed!

1. Restart the Phone

If your Verizon phone isn’t receiving calls, the most basic way to try to fix the issue is to restart your phone, since restarting your phone will clear out memory, conflicts, and background apps. Restarting your phone is a good place to start if a phone is just not picking up calls.

If you are having problems getting a cellular signal, just restarting your phone can improve the strength or the connection.

2. Make Sure Call Forwarding is Turned Off

When you change your phone number to a different Verizon number, the old phone number is no longer valid to receive calls.

To ensure your phone has call forwarding turned off, check your Phone options under “Settings,” and then select “Phone,” and find the “Call” section.

You can find call forwarding options via the My Verizon app. To do this, select the Account section, and then select Manage Device to see all of your devices.

If call forwarding is not turned on, hit the remove icon.

In the call forwarding dialog that comes in iOS 12, there’s a little pencil icon next to the phone numbers that call forward to. Hit the pencil icon, then select which phone numbers call forward to. Hit the “Done” button.

3. Check Your Sim Card & Reinstall It

SIM cards are usually inside the phone. This can be done by removing the phone’s battery or by unplugging the phone from the wall.

Therefore, remove both SIM cards, inspect the ones you put back, and wait a few minutes.

Additionally, you want to reboot your phone once you reinstall your SIM card before checking to see if you can receive calls. After this you will be able to make and recieve calls while using the SIM.

4. Ensure Airplane Mode is Turned Off

You should only be able to receive calls when airplane mode is off, regardless of whether you have an iOS or Android device.

To check whether the Airplane mode is on, go into “Settings,” and select “Airplane mode,” ensuring that the toggle is on.

5. Check App Settings

If your Verizon phone is not receiving calls you should check your Settings to see which apps have access to call settings. You may have accidentally granted access to a phone call settings app.

I noticed this problem when I was trying to download an app, and then when I got to the permissions screen, I noticed the app I wanted to download asked permission for all those other apps (I assume these are the apps that I will be using). After I allowed these permissions, I was able to install the app I wanted to download.

Furthermore, if you’ve noticed apps have permissions to your call settings, either change the permissions or delete the app off of your device and reset your network settings.

2. You can use the **Network & Internet** toggling settings. This is found on the **Settings** > **Wi-Fi & Network** > **Settings**.

6. Make Sure Do Not Disturb is Turned Off

Sometimes, Do Not Disturb can be accidentally turned on, which can cause you to not get any calls from any kind of device.

Therefore, go into “Settings,” and open “Don’t Disturb” to turn off the “Do Not Disturb” feature.

7. Make Sure Your Software is Updated

If your phone is infected with a particular type of malware, it might slow down, freeze, or completely stop responding to callers.

Finally, you can check for updates in “Settings,” and you may have to select “About Phone” or “System Updates” to make sure your software is up to date.

8. Reset Network Settings

Resetting network settings can fix some glitches and glitches that may cause you to lose the ability to receive calls, but it is better to know the Wi-Fi password before proceduring.

You’ll need to go to “Settings,” “System” and “Advanced” to view the “Reset Network Settings” option. This option is located on the bottom of the page.

However, you cannot unblock specific countries or networks.

9. Check Verizon Call Filter Settings

The Verizon Call Filter application has a lot of features built into it, like calling blocking. It could be a setting within Call Filter that’s preventing you from receiving calls.

Call Filter can block unknown calls, possible spam calls and also unwanted calls and the best part about it, you won’t need to add any people, it will do all of it for you.

10. Contact Verizon

Your next best option is to call Verizon and see if there’s anything on their end that’s causing your problems, such as an outage or account issue.

This issue could be a result of accidentally pressing Do Not Disturb Mode or Airplane Mode on your device. This could also be due to the device’s speaker volume being set too low.

The calls can be blocked by having your phone turned off, or it might be required that you reboot your phone or reinstall your SIM card to fix issues.
