For your reference, look in the upper-right corner of this page, where the name of the form is shown, or refer back to the top of the page.

A lot of people just submit their change of address at their old address and then are left to figure out a new address once they get there. The better solution is to wait until a few weeks before the move and use MyMove.com to send the people updates on their new address.
I just moved in to my new place and I used the USPS’s update service to make sure that my new apartment was up to date before I started going into my old one.
Expect the move letter to be delivered to your old address, and a letter from USPS informing you of your move. In the letter, you will be told where your post office is. The post office is located in the post office lobby, and has the same hours as USPS main office. They should be able to help you locate the address.

According to a United States Postal Service letter carrier, mailers that are the recipient of USPS change of address information, should expect a letter from the Post Office sometime after the 5th of the month in the month where the new information is received.
This is a standard mailer service that everyone should just use to make sure that they never miss out on an important deadline or have their mail simply not get to it’s intended recipient.
This is the default, so it’s usually pretty safe not to do anything, but you can always change the settings and let the mail server know to notify senders of your move.

person. You’re only charged for a second copy. If it is a package, you’ll have
to wait 10 business days for your replacement.

Why Did You Get Charged $40 To Change Your Address?
Changing your address is easier than you think. There are many companies that will mail your mail for you.
One such company is called Change of Address, and they take the hassle out of it. You register using the phone, and it is as simple as calling, and you are done. I have used them twice just in the last few months.

I had my mailbox at some old address that did not send mail to the new one. I moved and the USPS changed my address and gave me a new address.
Like the others already mentioned, there’s a huge problem with paying upfront. The site uses a stolen card to transfer money to yourself. This means it’s the same as not using a credit card.
I know that USPS does have a $60 charge associated with change of address. It is my understanding that the change of address notification has to be sent to a specific person. The charge for the mailing and the actual delivery to the new address is free of charge.
USPS.com states the following:
“The U.S. Postal Service does not automatically send out Change of Address (COA) letters, and in fact, we will not change your mail or delivery address unless you notify us of a change.”
This article indicates that COA is available when changing your mailing address, but doesn’t indicate that they are automatically sent. Your local USPS branch will send a COA when your address changes.
Please be advised that the additional letter is $60.
