  • Choose EBT-eligible items and add them to your shopping cart
  • Once you’re satisfied with the items in your cart, proceed to make payment

What can you buy with EBT/SNAP

With SNAP benefits, you can buy the following food items for your family:

  • Dairy products such as soft-serve milk and ice cream
  • Vegetables and fruits that are green

  • Bottled water is a non-alcoholic beverage.

What you can’t buy with EBT/SNAP

  • Any tobacco product

  • All hot and ready-to-eat food items in the store

Instacart accepts EBT SNAP

Instacart will accept EBT SNAP benefits. Instacart allows people with low income to link their SNAP benefits via EBT. They can use them at select stores in the US.

Who can use EBT SNAP on Instacart

As a pilot project, the Department of Agriculture in the United States launched Instacart. They connected the EBT SNAP with Instacart, and used it for online orders.

Customers in all 50 states, except Louisiana, Alaska and Montana, can now use EBT to purchase Instacart at any participating store.
