Paypal protects its customers by banning and limiting some PayPal accounts based on the account holder’s past transactions.
In the last few years it has been reported that PayPal has had some issues with some merchants doing business with them. According to reports, some merchants who received “PayPal is no longer accepting payments from you” messages, have found new ways to get around this and have been able to continue to accept PayPal payments.
What Does “You Can No Longer Do Business with PayPal” Mean In 2022?
If you’re interested in learning more about why PayPal bans accounts, if there are any solutions, and more, you can continue reading here.
Why Did PayPal Freeze My Business Account?
Unfortunately, if your business account has been frozen due to fraud, it’s because PayPal has detected something like fraud.
Therefore, you may be suspected of violating one of PayPal’s agreements. This may result in your account being put in timeout or even closed.
Send money to people who live in the US, including Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Peru, El Salvador, and the Bahamas.
If you have the ability to do so, you should be sure that the PayPal Account you are using is your primary account. If you are transferring funds to or from a previously registered PayPal Account, you should use the link in the confirmation email to access your PayPal account and then click “Permanently lock the receiving account”. If you have not logged into your existing PayPal account while you are transferring funds, a similar process will be required.
What Happens to the Money in My Account After It’s Frozen?
Unfortunately, if your account is frozen, PayPal will hold the remaining funds in your account for 180 days. If you don’t have enough funds in your account to cover the cost, you’ll be charged transaction fees.
This is a way to make sure that anyone attacking your account has enough resources to be able to solve their own problems.
But I have a payment on the 24th, and this is the 17th. Can’t I receive my money?
No, you can only receive money back on claims you initiate by email within 60 days after the order’s completion date.
So basically if a customer has a complaint against you or you get a complaint against them, then you can’t access your funds until PayPal refunds them.
You no longer have access to any of your PayPal Account, so you can only make payments with PayPal, for example, PayPal can refuse to process your credit card or PayPal can refuse to process your transfer.
“You are responsible for all financial and personal problems created by you, your friends, your family or your business”.
Once all disputes, claims, etc. have been taken care of, if there are any funds left in your PayPal account, you’ll receive a notification to move your funds to your bank account or credit card of choice.
If your account has made payments, and if you have not had any disputes or claims brought against your account within 180 days, then you could request to have your remaining funds returned.
Can I Get a New PayPal Account After Being Banned?
Well, you would not be able to get a new PayPal account either, since your previous PayPal account has been frozen.
In my opinion we should not be doing this. The way to handle this, if you’re at all interested in working with us, in the future, would be to contact us at support@paypal.com and we’ll be glad to help.
Thus, if your account was previously banned, then PayPal does not have to let you open a new account, and will not.
How Do You Unfreeze a PayPal Account?
If you have been banned completely then you cannot unfreeze your account, and no one on PayPal’s side can help or do anything to help you.
However, if you were to take part in violating any PayPal agreements, and you believe PayPal is wrong about your actions, contact PayPal directly.
But if PayPal disagrees with you, then your account will be frozen and you will not be able to login for at least a day.
If you have used your PayPal account in an abusive way, then it will be permanently blocked. If PayPal is correct in doing this, then it will not be able to lift the limit for the account.

Conclusion
If PayPal believes you have violated its agreements, the company has the right to decide on how to stop allowing you to use their service.
Furthermore, if PayPal does freeze your business account, you will not be able to access any remaining money for 180 days, your account cannot be unfrozen, and you cannot create a new account in the future. Once blocked, you cannot request another one.
