It’s always interesting to know when your package is going to arrive at home. However, we usually don’t know this information before we receive it. Sometimes, it can be even a surprise when we receive the mail, and that’s exactly why we’ve created this article.

What Days Does USPS Deliver In 2022?

The postal service is not a federal, state, or local agency in the same way that the IRS is.

Does USPS Deliver 7 Days a Week?

First-class mail deliveries may be delayed on Saturdays depending on the location and the type of mail
Media Mail is not delivered on Saturdays for certain delivery locations in select states. These states and the types of mail affected are available at https://www.usps.com/delivery/media-mail/mail-services-information/delivery-locations.
Priority Mail is not delivered on Saturdays in a portion of Florida (see the section below on Priority Mail).

For other services, your package may arrive on Saturday as a result of the estimated delivery lead time (e.g. 30 days) and the location of the warehouse responsible for the “last mile” of delivery.

Why Doesn’t USPS Deliver on Sundays?

The mail carrier isn’t available during the weekend.
The post office is closed Sunday.
There is no delivery service on Sundays.

Another reason is that the state of Alaska has a Sunday public holiday (as it did for a time in New York).

It’s not cost effective to deliver mail on Sunday because most companies are closed and people aren’t home to receive the mail.

Finally, most of the US population isn’t accustomed to receiving mail on Sunday, so the US postal service doesn’t have much incentive to add more work to its already hectic schedule.

What Time Does USPS Deliver?

Your mail should typically arrive on its most direct route between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

But it’s no cause for concern. We’re always looking out for our customers and trying to be as reliable as possible.

This means that you have a reasonable chance of getting this item within 3 days with the standard delivery options.

If the item is not available for the standard delivery option please contact us so that we can offer you an appropriate delivery option. We will usually be able to offer a next day delivery option.

Priority Mail Express items are dispatched as soon as they arrive at the post office for overnight delivery.

What Days Does USPS Not Deliver?

New Year’s Day and President’s Day in the United States. In addition, there are some religious or other holidays, such as Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, and some statutory holidays, such as Memorial Day and Labor Day.

If you’re mailing something next-day using Priority Mail Express, USPS simply skips over the holiday.
What this means for you?
You have to pay even more postage.

In other words, if you ship a package overnight on July 3rd, the post office will consider July 4th to be the next day in accordance with its Priority Mail Express service commitment.

Does USPS Deliver Twice a Day?

With Christmas right around the corner, expect USPS to perform its best. The postal service expects to receive 15% to 20% more packages compared to the rest of the year.
