If you use a private carrier, such as FedEx, it is typically around $2.00 per letter. A large international company like Royal Mail uses both the postal service and a private carrier to transport their mail.

This means that if you are mailing to, say, Puerto Rico, you can mail overnight and get it to them tomorrow, no matter what day they’re open.

You’ll need to pay for shipping of course, and when your package arrives it will need to be signed for. This will likely be done at the post office or your UPS store.
