Amazon HR – Resigning
Amazon is like any other job. It requires a certain amount etiquette. It’s not enough to just stop showing up at work. You also need to be careful about referring someone who isn’t a good fit. This etiquette is fairly consistent across most jobs. Amazon, however, has a more formal resignation process. It can vary depending on the position you hold and how long you have been with Amazon.
First, “voluntary termination” is the term used to describe quitting an Amazon job. Although these terminations are usually handled by HR, you can also contact your manager. To inform your HR representative of your intention to leave, you can either call them or visit their office. You may be asked to complete forms depending on the circumstances.
This process should not be difficult if your employment was mutually beneficial. There might be additional paperwork if you have more complex reasons for quitting, but that shouldn’t be a problem. Amazon will not let you leave if you do not intend to keep your job. They have to make sure they are covered.

Amazon Will Pay Quitters?
Chances are, you’ve heard about “the offer” if you are an Amazon employee. If you have been working at Amazon for more than a year, Amazon will offer money to end your employment.
They will pay out monetary compensation to employees who quit within a year. It starts at $1000, and goes up to $5000.
You will not be allowed to work for Amazon again if you accept the offer. According to reports, the payout will be subject to 30% tax. This means that you won’t get $700 for a $1000 offer.
Amazon offers this incentive to dissatisfied workers to quit and take a different job. According to Amazon, “Staying somewhere you don’t want is not healthy for employees or the company.”
If you aren’t enthusiastic about Amazon’s position, you can still wait and make some money. You will not be eligible for the cash bonus if you quit normally. However, you may still be eligible to re-hire down the line if you change your mind.
Are You Required to Give Amazon 2 Weeks Notice?
It is a good idea to notify your employer of your intention to resign. This gives your employer enough time to train and find a replacement. It also communicates that you are willing to work with them, even if you decide to resign. Is it necessary to notify Amazon?
You might have to start sooner than the two-week wait period if you are offered a job with a higher salary. You might feel the need to be as responsible and productive as you can, but it could mean you miss out on a great opportunity.
Amazon doesn’t require two weeks notice, but it isn’t unreasonable. According to most reports, Amazon prefers that you give at minimum one week notice. However, they will not give you a negative reference if your quit without giving any.
You should be fine as long as your resignation is handled properly and you follow the necessary channels. You must not stop showing up and tell anyone; this is a sure way to get a poor reference on your resume.
Is it necessary to turn in your badge when you quit Amazon?
Amazon employees often receive identification badges during their initial orientation. Every badge begins with the same color: Blue. You will be given different badges depending on your tenure at Amazon as you work for the company. After five years you will be given a yellow badge and a red badge after ten years.
Badges are used to identify employees and allow them access to certain services that are only available to them. You might like to keep your badge for a souvenir after you leave Amazon. But do you need to return it when you are done?
