Shopping at Aldi can be a deeply liberating experience – no stress over which brand’s frosted mini-wheats to buy! No deep wallet gouges every time you get groceries! But if you’re new to the experience, it can seem confusing and, well, pretty frustrating.
Aldi has their own unique way of shopping and you might find it to be very different than what you’ve been used to.
If you get a receipt on-the-go for your items, you can use the back side of the receipt to write down your discounts!
17 Aldi Tips & Hacks That Aldi Pros Use In 2022
1. Check The Circular (Or Aldi Website) First
There is no need for the other 2 ads, which is consistent with the Aldi circular.
If you make your answers as an image, they will appear in the question. As a user, you can always go to your profile and edit your answers. To be fair, there was no “right” way to do it, as the OP wanted it, but if you want it to appear in the answer body, that can be done.
I’m not very into English, but I can translate some of the comments and links given by Zarko and @Michael Cramer.
To see all the new Aldi Basics + Extras items, click here [http://www.aldi.co.uk/categories/basics-extras/new](http://www.aldi.co.uk/categories/basics-extras/new), or on the front page, click ‘Shop Basics + Extras’ and the link ‘new items’.
2. Keep Your Quarters Close
Because of the Aldi’s popularity, you’ll find yourself spending lots of time with this chain. I do recommend getting an Aldi cart to help you move between aisles and store-wide.
You can save some cash by picking up a quarter-keeper from your local Aldi store.
Aldi, a German supermarket chain, has released a new line of keychains. They are shaped like a glass of wine, a piece of watermelon, and they have a pocket that fits your shopping cart quarter.
3. Deal Hunting? Shop On Wednesdays And Sundays
I usually try to start my day at Aldi after having some kind of breakfast, because it is easier to find things that I need in the morning.
In the past, I have never found fresh fruit and vegetables, but I think it has happened more often than it should.
On Wednesdays, the produce section is usually really good, so I always ask the cashier to point out the fresh fruit, so that I can choose what I need from the fresh produce.
Since the new Aldi Savings start today, you can find great discounts on everyday groceries.
Sunday sales are a source of great discounts. The best things you can find on Sundays are the things that you were unable to find when Aldi had a limited selection.
But it’s not that easy! You have to buy them in the correct order.
4. Stick With A List
A budget is something different from a list. I know you can make a list and stick to it, but it doesn`t mean that if you have a budget you would do that.
It’s easy to save money by taking advantage of low prices, so there’s really no limit to how much you can save.
5. Stock Up On Steep Meat Discounts
Sometimes you might hit the store at just the right time, and find the meat section awash in discounts. These are limited, and they tend to run out quickly as more shoppers notice.
If you show up at the supermarket to do some grocery shopping and see a bunch of discounts, check your cart, and plan to use half the space in your freezer. When Aldi slashes prices on their meat, you’re getting an insane deal.
6. Know Your Tags
A lot of people get angry when they shop at Aldi: they buy something once and then never see it again. A savvy Aldi shopper can be wise and be aware of how the store displays its products.
You can use the tags on YouTube to find and/or watch videos that are relevant to your interests. You can create tags, add videos to your playlists, and watch videos.
You don’t have to wait for the holidays, this store has everything you need. The shopping trip is a quick one.
The green tag is an indicator that the produce has been washed and is safe to eat.
The Aldi Finds collection is limited. The products with the red and white tags are out of stock. There’s no chance that any new stock will arrive.
An Aldi Finds list is normally updated twice every week. Finds come in different sizes. The largest size is usually 4.5 cubic feet (136 liters).
Aldi Finds come in all sizes and shapes and will be delivered to your doorstep.
When the Aldi stores are full, Aldi Finds move from the freezer to the cooler. Limited time, premium buy tags identify white and red Aldi Finds that Aldi wants to bring out of the cooler so people can easily find them. They can be applied to both name-brand and Aldi branded products.
This means once you run out, these are no longer available.
You’ll also see blue tags on things marked “On Sale,” meaning that they’re marked as less than its usual price and are likely to be the best deal for that particular product for the next week or month.
7. Be Wary Of Name Brands
Because of Aldi’s success, other supermarkets have become competitive in their prices and quality of products.
However, the price comparisons from Walmart, Aldi and other grocery items that Costco sells are much, much lower than the prices at Sam’s Club.
The best way to save money on your grocery is to shop at the store that is cheapest for you. Do some research and find the best prices.
8. Check Your Mail
Not only will the circular come in the mail, sometimes – very rarely – that circular comes with a coupon at the top. Expect something like $5 off a purchase of $30 or more.
9. Skip The Personal Hygiene Section
Some people say the prices are too high, but if you don’t want to spend too much time at the supermarket shopping, going to Aldi is still the cheaper option. You won’t need to stand in long queues and you won’t have to pay too much for your groceries.
So it’s pretty basic. There are lots of ingredients that can cause sensitivity, but you can’t control that. You can control the strength of the ingredients though.

10. Instacart For Convenience – Not Savings
The partnership with Instacart is great – convenient, intuitive, and always improving. However, if you’re on a budget, and it’s important to stick to that budget, skip Instacart.
This will be expensive, but it will be fast. It would be fine if you have a package that weighs more than 2 pounds, because you will have to pay an extra $1 fee for each additional pound.
For example, someone else who works for me has an Instacart account. He lives in Manhattan though, and he’s spending a lot of time on the road.
11. Grab Special-Diet Foods For Way Less
It has an impressive variety of foods, such as gluten-free, vegan, and even organic products. There are also many products with ingredients that you have to read carefully to avoid common allergens.
If you were skipping Aldi because you thought their selection wasn’t great, think again (and they’re expanding these lines regularly!). Aldi isn’t as big as the other grocery store chains you’d be shopping at, but the selection and variety they offer is unparalleled.
12. Decorate On A Budget
Aldi shoppers love the seasonal items on sale and especially around the major holidays like Halloween and Christmas.
What you’re looking for in Aldi Finds is the adorable and high-quality decorations they have for your home.

13. Shop With Confidence
You can also use the Twice As Nice guarantee policy in order to get a new item in your Aldi shop. We’re not sure why the policy is named twice as nice. However, we do know that if something displeases, you get a replacement.
If you have a return or exchange that is the result of something that is in the store, such as a defective item that you are returning or a damaged item, you can also return it to us.
You are shopping in a store where the items of high or low quality will be purchased at a discount.
14. Bring Your Bags
When going shopping at Aldi, don’t forget to bring your own bags.
Because grocery shopping is very inexpensive, you can save more money by buying items for every day cooking, instead of buying in bulk.
15. Eat Luxe With The Specially Selected Label
I love the specially selected label. Sometimes the store manager will mark the Specially Selected box with a chalk marker. At least once a week, I pick up a box with the Specially Selected label on it.
The product was found at a high-end shop, like a fancy store.
As you can see, the content is being replicated, the words are being replaced, and the sentences are being reordered.
Now that we’ve seen some examples of how to add synonyms and keywords to a product page, you might ask yourself, how do I make these changes? Well, you are in luck because you can use the “Add Similar” button.
16. Don’t Hold Up The Checkout Line
This is the busiest time of the year for shopping, but it’s no time for anyone to sweat. Your best bet is to arrive early if you want to avoid the crowds.
Don’t try to check anything out at checkout; that’s what the checkout line is for.
17. Avoid Crowds By Shopping At This Time
As the last of the stores close, the crowds have mostly left the mall, and the parking lots have cleared out, making it a perfect time to browse. In my experience, it is best to arrive 45-60 minutes before the stores close to allow time to park and roam. I always shop the stores that I love first, and leave the rest.
If you’re shopping after a certain time, you’ll usually find more sales. It’s important to have a flexible plan in place. And don’t feel like you have to be “on schedule” or that you have to get everything. There’s no right or wrong here.

Every so often, I feel, there comes a time when I have reached a certain level of expertise as a member of the Aldi shopping club, and that is when I feel like I really do have to take a step back and reassess my expectations of the store as a whole.
