As a business, you must fill out an application to determine your eligibility to carry vaping products to mail. The application is on the USPS website.
In order to qualify, businesses must be in compliance with state and federal laws, and must be engaged in the manufacturing, distribution, or retail sale of ENDS products.
After the USPS grants an exception, the post office can process a mailing. If the exception hasn’t been granted, an error message is displayed when the customer attempts to place a mailing. This is a bit of a catch-22, in that it’s hard to tell if a customer’s mailing is taking too long to process or if the exception hasn’t been granted.
What Happens If I Mail Vape Pens Through USPS?
You can most likely get away with mailing your used vape pen to a local recycling plant.
After all, it is possible for any other country to send stuff through the postal service, so even if the contents of a box is private, there’s not much that can be done if it ends up in the mailstream accidentally.
So you should be careful to follow the law, and you don’t want to get yourself in trouble.
I’m afraid you might run into more problems. USPS will ship USPS Priority Mail Flat rate boxes, but they won’t ship these boxes to the US Virgin Islands. If USPS shipping doesn’t work for you, you might want to consider a different shipping company.
