Governor Haley Barbour, R-Miss., portrays Clinton as unpopular

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, R-Miss., expressed confidence in his party’s presidential candidates while depicting the Democrats as fallible in a speech to Republican Party members today.

“In the Michigan Democratic primary, [Hillary Clinton] was unopposed and 45% of Democrats didn’t vote for her… let’s just say it gives me hope,” he said.

Governor Haley Barbour, R-Miss., addressed RNC with hopeful message

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour addressed a crowded room of Republican Party members today in Washington, D.C. where he outlined a plan for success in this year’s presidential election.

Among other points Barbour stressed the need to effectively develop and communicate ideas. “This is going to be a campaign about issues and there is going to be a big premium for being the party of ideas,” he said.
