Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour (R) discusses what should be done with health care legislation in the House and how it will affect individual states.
Speaking to reporters after the first presidential debate, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour says that he found it interesting that Barack Obama, the “candidate for change,” agreed with the president on the financial crisis package, while the Democratic Party didn’t care what he had to say. (0:27)
Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, R-Miss., expressed confidence in his party’s presidential candidates while depicting the Democrats as fallible in a speech to Republican Party members today.
“In the Michigan Democratic primary, [Hillary Clinton] was unopposed and 45% of Democrats didn’t vote for her… let’s just say it gives me hope,” he said.
Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour addressed a crowded room of Republican Party members today in Washington, D.C. where he outlined a plan for success in this year’s presidential election.
Among other points Barbour stressed the need to effectively develop and communicate ideas. “This is going to be a campaign about issues and there is going to be a big premium for being the party of ideas,” he said.
