Sen. McCain Asks What Civilian Strategy For Afghanistan Is

Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) asked what the U.S. civilian strategy in Afghanistan is during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing Tuesday.

“What is our strategy for helping the Afghans build economic and political order after we clear a whole ground? What is our strategy for supporting Afghan leaders in reforming and strengthening their government? What is our strategy for working with President Karzai and getting the best performance possible from him and his government?” McCain asked. (0:36)
