Sen. Harkin: LGBT Americans Are First Class Citizens, Deserve Civil Rights
In a HELP committee hearing Thursday on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2009, Chairman Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) stated that “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered Americans are first-class citizens…they deserve the same civil rights protection as all other Americans.” (0:19)
