Michigan Democrat Says He Cannot Support Low Power FM Radio Legislation

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) says he can not support H.R. 1147, otherwise known as the Local Community Radio Act of 2009. Stupak cites issues he has with broadcast interference as the main reason for his opposition. If passed into law, the bill would implement an FCC recommendation that Congress should not require local low-power FM radio stations to be positioned far away from large commercial stations on the FM dial.
