Health Inst. Director Says People’s Health Has More To Do With Zip Code Than Genetic Code

Dr. Brian D. Smedley, Vice President and Director of the Health Policy Institute of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in Washington, D.C., says that people’s health has more to do with where they are raised rather than their genes because of a number of external factors. He then says the U.S. should work on building healthier communities as another aspect of health care reform. (0:54)
