Minority Whips Express Disapproval Over President’s Address
By Meagan Wiseley, University Of New Mexico – Talk Radio News Service.
In a press conference on Thursday, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) and House Minority Whip. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) expressed overall disappointment with President Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night.
“Bottom line…I thought the speech was partisan, uninformative, disingenuous and not likely to encourage those who have honest disagreements with him to be able to work towards some kind of common solution,” said Kyl.
Said Cantor, “There [is] no question that the bar was set very high for this president and his speech last night. His performance did not match those expectations and in fact I don’t think that he did reach that bar.”
Both Kyl and Cantor argued that the nation’s health care system can be reformed with small specific bills, as opposed to one comprehensive bill. “Start with what works, guarantee those aspects can be preserved, then we can work to fix the problems,” said Cantor.

Dear Minority Leader,
I am writing to express my outrage on the recent stories of ACORN reported by Fox News. ACORN, which stands for Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, has been caught on camera twice advising two individuals portraying a pimp and a prostitute how to evade Federal Tax Laws, how to legally set up a bordello without the Government knowing, how to write-off expenses for their illegal enterprise and how to bring under age girls from El Salvador to work in their illegal enterprise. This happened once in the ACORN office in Baltimore, Maryland and the second time in Washington, D.C. As a citizen and a taxpayer, I am disturbed and angered since this organization has already received billions of tax dollars in the past and is schedule to receive another $8 billion dollars from the stimulus bill passed by Congress earlier this year. I may not be an attorney, but this seems to violate multiple Federal Statutes and RICO laws. I am asking for your office and the Department of Justice to immediately initiate a full investigation in this matter, convene a Federal Grand Jury and cease all Federal Funds transfer until all the facts are exposed and the criminals in ACORN are prosecuted and imprisoned.
Sincerely,
Jimmy M. Wong
