Ga. Congressman Urging Congress To Address Health IT Reform

Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.), an OB/GYN himself, describes legislation he has introduced in each of the last several sessions of Congress. His bill, known as the “Health IT Act,” would allow small medical practices to expense the cost of overhauling their system of patients’ records. Gingrey’s comments came during a news conference Tuesday to promote awareness for new health information technology measures. (:29)
