No Inexpensive Way To Defend Safety Of Americans, says Sen. Lieberman

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) defends the 7% increase in the Department of Homeland Security’s budget by appealing to the value of American lives. Lieberman explains that the government has a duty to “keep Americans safe and secure from man made disasters” as well as terrorism. Ultimately, the Senator says there is no inexpensive way to protect the American people. (0:22)
