Healthcare help for laid off employees

During a conference call to release a report titled “States Act to Help People Laid Off From Small Firms But More Needs to Be Done,” Kathleen Stoll, Deputy Executive Director and Director of Health Policy, stressed the importance of the new provision which provides 65% coverage of premiums for health care; available for employees laid off between September 2008 and February 2009, and helps cover premiums for up to nine months.
