The Washington bureau will be covering the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s hearing entitled “Is Treasury Using Bailout Funds to Increase Foreclosure Prevention, as Congress Intended?,” a panel discussion on “The Political Economy of U.S. Policy in International Trade and Investment Law” hosted by The American Society of International Law’s International Economic Law Interest Group and a rally calling attention to global poverty issues during the G20 Financial Crisis summit outside the White House.

The bureau will also be covering a media briefing on the release of a set of principles to “move the nation and the world toward a rational and efficient financial regulatory system,” at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and an Alliance for Health Reform briefing on “Lessons on Coverage from Abroad: How Do the Dutch, German and Swiss Health Care Systems Do It?”.
