1. Give the appearance of unity while not evincing too much enthusiasm for Obama
2. Give her loyalists a reason to remember why they voted for her and may wish to do so again (2012);

Measured against her mission, she succeeded brilliantly. And why not? She&#039;s a good deal brighter than Obama, far more politically experienced and even a whiff more amoral--just the qualities necessary to outwit this season&#039;s Democratic presidential ingenue.</description>
