Part of the new media revolution is taking place at the Democratic National Convention. This year’s Convention has allowed bloggers unprecedented access to Party events. A key aspect to this evolution is the “The Big Tent.” More than 300 new media journalists and bloggers have been granted access to cover the events. One of the featured bloggers is Rich Peters, the winner of a national YouTube Convention video contest where he answered the question, “Why are you a Democrat in 2008?” YouTube awarded him credentials to cover Barack Obama’s campaign on his video blog, hosted by the company.
