This morning, the Talk Radio News Washington Bureau will be attending a House Energy Independence and Global Warming Committee hearing on the “Future of Oil” focusing on long term prognosis for oil supply and demand around the planet, including financial and global warming impacts. Also this morning, the Bureau will be attending a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on “Sovereign Wealth Funds: Foreign Policy Consequences in an Era of New Money” and a Center for New American Security (CNAS) conference on “New Directions for American Security,” with speeches being made by Former Defense Secretary William Perry, and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

This afternoon, the Bureau will be covering remarks made to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce by Vice President Dick Cheney about policy issues impacting the business community. Later in the afternoon, the Bureau will be attending a news conference to call for members of Congress to sign the discharge petition for the Broadcaster Freedom Act by Radio Independence Day, with presidential candidate Sen. John McCain and House Minority Leader John Boehner. Also, the Bureau will be covering a “pen and pad” briefing with House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, and a “Domestic Partner Benefits” speech at the Center for American Progress.
