Washington Correspondents Lovisa Frost, Meredith MacKenzie and Jay Goodman Tamboli are at the House Republican Conference radio row interviewing Republican congressmen. Correspondents S. Dawn Jones and Dan Patterson are flying over the flood damage in Iowa and will be reporting on the damage via Utterz and photos.

The Washington Bureau will be covering House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s pen and pad, a hearing on “Planning Communities for a Changing Climate,” a hearing on identity protection, and a forum on short sea shipping as a solution to freight congestion with John Mica (R-FL). Also in the morning is a hearing on veteran interrogators discussing effective anti-torture interrogation techniques, a news conference with Senators Joseph Liberman (D-Conn) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). This afternoon, reporters will be covering Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s remarks on U.S. policy towards Asia, and the second part to a hearing on Guantanamo Bay “Administration Lawyers and Administration Interrogation Rules.”
