Shoddy wires are prone to cath fire
Brian Monks, Vice President of Anti-Counterfeiting Operations for Underwriters Laboratories, says that counterfeiters do not care about the safety of American citizens. He says that because of cheap manufacturing a lack of safety standards, counterfeited items are very dangerous if used. He says that the risk of fire from counterfeit extension cords is a cause for grave concern. (0:58)
