Tanton says energy efficiency doesn’t cut energy use
In a briefing by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, Thomas Tanton says that California energy rates and bills have gone up under the state’s demand-side management (DSM) programs. He says that being “energy efficient doesn’t reduce energy consumption,” and that when people save money on energy, they usually spend the money on something else that also uses energy. (0:36)
