“Open to being Vice President,” Reverend Wright says
At the National Press Club Breakfast, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, in response to a question about things that he has said, he says he means that as a Christian, he understands forgiveness, and politicians says what they say and do what they do, based on electability and soundbites. Preachers say what they say because they are pastors, and he has to be accountable to God, and “I am not running for office, but I am open to being Vice President.” (0:52)
