Oklahoma Governor Endorses Obama

Brad Henry, governor of Oklahoma, announced his endorsement for Barack Obama today. He stated that he put considerable thought into his decision and didn’t take it lightly. He visited both Democrats and in the end decided to endorse Obama.

He claims that Obama is the “best person to unite this country in a very, very critical and difficult time.” He went on to say that he believes Obama to represent the future, not the past and that in order to shake things up in DC, Obama is the man for the job.

He announced his endorsement today because he thought, as many others thought, the endorsement would be known earlier. Since it hasn’t be resolved, Henry sees this is a critical time for the Democratic party and fears it could be divided, which has prompted him to show his support today. He will commit his vote and his super delegate voice for Barack Obama for President.
