B. Lynn Pascoe on the UN Mediation Standby Team
UN Under Secretary General of Political Affairs B. Lynn Pascoe briefed the press today on the new United Nations Mediation Standby Team.

The new, quick-response team, lead by scholar Joyce Neu, will be composed of six members, described by Pascoe as the “world’s best people on the topic of mediation.” Pascoe hopes that the team, funded by the government of Norway, will strengthen the Department of Public Information’s approach to mediation.
The Mediation Standby Team will work closely with regional authorities, and spend approximately 80% of it’s time in the field.
