General James Cartwright, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff explains the process of intercepting a satellite via tactical missile

Gen. Cartwright explains the goals of shooting a tactical missile at a disintegrating reconnaissance satellite, which is about to reenter earth’s atmosphere.  The Pentagon announced earlier that it will shoot down the satellite to mitigate risks to people  that could be caused by propellant on the satellite.
