The Department of Defense and specifically the crew of the USS Lake Erie successfully launched a surface-to-air missile and intercepted a defunct spy satellite as it de-orbited at about 10:26 EST on Wednesday. Before the launch Adm. Keating met with the traveling Pentagon press pool and spoke about the operation. (0:52)
