Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA) recalls a conversation he had with Gen. Petraus during a visit to Northern Iraq in October, 2003 where the General had said he did not have enough troops to guard an ammunition dump once belonging to Saddam Hussein.

Lantos recalls the General as saying the lack of protection would one day come back to haunt us, and since then the site had been overtaken by insurgents and its weapons now used against the American forces. (0:40)
