Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) questions Lieutenant General Lute about what his duties would be as Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Iraq and Afghanistan.
Senator Reed expresses his displeasure when Lute tells him if confirmed, he (Lute) will be in charge of foreign policy issues regarding Iraq and Afghanistan, not the the National Security Advisor.
