Rep. Steve King (R-IA) believes that bringing illegal aliens "out of the shadows" will not make the United States safer.
Rep. King says at a House hearing on immigration reform that acknowledging the 12-20 million illegal immigrants living in the United States will not enhance the country’s security. He adds that the economy would not necessarily suffer if illegal workers are no longer allowed to work in the United States, citing 69 million American citizens who are of working age that are not currently in the work force.
