John Jay, a senior vice president for the National Restaurant Association, encouraged by Senate’s immigration bill for trying to improve the "status quo".

Mr. Gay, who testified at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, says that the Senate’s current immigration bill is a step in the right direction. Though he feels the current legislation still has its problems, Gay still believes that the bill improves over a 1986 version by trying to help both workers and the economy. (1:01
