Rep. Tom Lantos (D-CA-12th) discussing the future of Kosova and the need for independence in the region at the hearing on "The Outlook for the Independence of Kosova."

Lantos said that the UN stewardship of the region was designed to serve as a transition to full independence. He continued by saying that the independence from Serbia will lead to stability and prosperity, only independence can help to heal the wounds of the war-ravaged region. (0:52)
