Karen P. Tandy, Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration, says that by 2009 the DEA hopes to strip $3 billion a year from international drug trafficking networks operating within the U.S. at the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on the FY2008 budget for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Marshal Service.
