Former federal prosecutor and CREW Executive Director Melanie Sloan states that the White House have known about the lost e-mails since 2005.

Sloan says that in 2005 the administration made a decision not to recover the estimated 5 million lost e-mails on its server, and is now contemplating recovering them since the lost e-mails have been known public, (0:57)
