FBI Director Robert Mueller witness at the hearing on "Oversight of the FBI" says that he was responsible for the shortcomings of the FBI and that he is responsible that they will not happen again at the hearing on "Oversight of the FBI"
Mueller says that we heard from the General Inspectors report that he did not find any deliberate misuse of National Security Letter authorities. He testified that he did not find any attempt to break the law but rather to "the unthinking use of improper form." Nevertheless he found several areas of inadequate auditing and oversight over these investigating tools. He said they he and the FBI fell short in their duty to report to congress. He says that he is responsible for these shortcomings and he is responsible to see that this does not happen again.(0:59)
