At today’s hearing about the No Child Left Behind act Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA), Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, talks about the top priority for the NCLB act reauthorization.

Kennedy says that we need a more effective way to measure student standards. The goal is to focus on the lowest performing schools instead of classing them as failures. He also describes that the federal role in assisting these schools is their greatest challenge and a top priority for the re-authorization of the NCLB act. (0:36)
