Sharon Parrot, Director of the Welfare Reform and Income Support Divisions at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, states during a conference call concerning the report "President’s budget would cut deeply into important public services and adversely affect states," that President’s priorities are clearly implied in his new budget.
According to Parrot, some of the President’s priorities are to balance the budget by 2012 at least on paper, make tax cuts permanent without offsetting revenue increases, increase funding for homeland security and make significant cuts in domestic discretionary programs. (0:22)
