Sharon Parrot, Director of the Welfare Reform and Income Support Divisions at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, believes it is important to look at President’s budget proposal over the next five-year period rather than just the budget for 2008.
During a conference call concerning the report "President’s budget would cut deeply into important public services and adversely affect states," Parrot states that the analysis of the five year proposal will reveal the kind of cuts that will be necessary to balance the budget by 2012. (0:19)
