President George W. Bush says that he is asking Congress for $11.8 billion over the next two years to help Afghan democracy survive.
In his remarks on Global War on Terror, President Bush states that U.S. has extended the stay of 3,200 troops in Afghanistan and will deploy a replacement force that will sustain this increase for the foreseeable future. (1:32)
