Lawrence Mishel, President of the Economic Policy Institute, points out in his opening statements at the Work That Works: An Agenda for Shared Prosperity Forum that success and failure of economy cannot be measured by how fast stock market or economy grow.
Mishel suggests that the best way to measure the success of economy is to look at how much the general standard of living has improved. (0:32)
