Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) says, in a news conference at the outdoors Eastern Market, that oil companies are unconscionably reaping record profits.
Johnson says that if the increasing oil prices were a simple result of supply and demand they would be understandable. However, he says that oil companies are making record profits and not investing those profits in a way that will lower the cost of energy in the future (:42).
